Chashma Ayub Mausoleum means spring of Prophet Ayub, in Bible called Job. The local people still believe that the spring water is healing.

Chor Minor is known as madrasah Halif Niyazkul (in Persian “Four minarets”) was built by merchant in 1807.

Naqshbandiy Complex is the tomb of the founder of the Sufi Order “Naqshbandia”. A spiritual teacher of Amir Temur, Naqshbandi made hajj to Mekka 32 times.

Sitorai Mohi Hosa, the summer palace of Alim Khan (912–18), three building compound mixes Russian and Central Asian architecture.

The history of Bukhara goes back 2500 years with its inhabitants of Aryan period. The city had been the center of different Empires and favorite place of many Great Dynasties. That is why Bukhara history is so rich and full with important events. The ancient king Siavash who belonged to mythical and legendary Pishdak Dynasty had chosen this location, right on the Great Silk Road and warm climate with enough water resources.

Labi Hauz – “Edge of a pond”, This is one of the most favorite place in Bukhara where local inhabitants  exchange their thoughts while having drink and food during free time. The trip is not completed unless you visit Trade Domes and Ancient Silk Market which is walking distance.

Magokki Attori mosque – the unique complex, built on the site of former Zoroastrian temple

Architectural complex Poi-Kalyan means «Foot of the Great», inc. Kalyan mosque and Miri Arab madrassah, Ulugbeg and Abdulazizkhan madrasahs.

Ark fortress – the symbol of the state power. has been the fortified residence of city leaders for over a millennium.

Bolo Hauz Mosque is the most important mosque in the city. There was time when Emir of Bukhara himself performed prayers every Friday followed by thousands of Muslims. From very far Bolo Hauz mosque looks beautiful with its twenty columns of an unusual height.

Poi-Kalon complex was center for scholars and still have active madrassa for higher Islamic studies. The minaret is full of decor with geometric, square and circle shape bricks.

It is a long drive to Bukhara through the famous Red Sands desert. The road runs along Amu Daria. We will stop on the shore to take photos and to relax in nature. Middle of the desert stop for lunch at the roadside tea house before hitting towards Bukhara, whose age exceeds 2500 years.

Morning flight to Urgench, the capital of the Khorazm province, situated between the river Amu (In Uzbek is called Amu Darya) and Tashaoz, the Turkmen border.

Upon arrival drive to historical city of Khiva. Make a little diversion for visit a traditional village Ulli hovli.

Arrive Khiva, fresh up and proceed for walking tour of ancient Ichan Qala, an architectural treasure which is extensively restored with mud-walled and has four main entrance gates. This open sky museum have numerous historical sites which are waiting your visit:

Madrassah Allakuli Khan-the largest religious school, built in 1834 on the own funds of Khiva khanate khan.

Madrasah Muhammad Amin Khan– two-story madrassa built by Muhammad Amin Khan in 1851-1854 years.

Kunya Ark– «old castle» was built in the end of 17th century in 1686-1688 by Anushakhan’s son Arangakhan.

Kelte Minar– «Low tower» was constructed in the 19 century by the ruler Mukhammad Amin-khan.

Pakhlavan Mahmud Mausoleum– pay tribute to great saint of  14th century, the building was built in the form of small barracks, where the body of the great “Piri” Pakhlavan Mahmud  (1247-1326) was buried.

Islam Khoja Minaret is one of the pearls of Ichan-Kala – Khiva’s historical part, which was the first Uzbekistan’s site included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1990.

Madrasah Muhammad Rahimkhan, built in the middle of the 19th century by order of Seid Muhammad Rahim Khan II.

Juma Masjid– interesting for the 218 wooden columns supporting its roof – a concept thought to be derived from ancient Arabian mosques. Six or seven of the columns date from the original 10th-century mosque (see if you can spot them), though the present building dates from the 18th century.

Tash Hovli Palace– «Stone House» of 19th century.

The Tashkent city was a major meeting point on the Silk Road trade routes since centuries and its fortunes fluctuated thereafter as it passed from dynasty to dynasty. In 26th April, 1966 it was devastated by an earthquake, and designers rebuild the entire city with wide roads but kept the original beauty of interesting architecture. Visit to old city includes:

Hastimom complex (Barak Khan madrassa, Tillya Sheikh mosque, Kaffal Shashiy Mausoleum)- the religious heart of Tashkent with rich library of oriental manuscripts.

Chorsu bazaar – the most colorful ancient market of Uzbekistan, where under a vast blue saucer are gathered all the productions from entire country: fruits, vegetables, butchery, dairy, spices & bakery, confectionery, stands amaze by the abundance, volume , color and the unalterable patter of the sellers. which was formed about 1000 years ago.

Applied Arts Museum, founded in 1937 as a temporary exhibition for handicrafts.

Amir Temur Square, known as Tamerlane (Timur the Lame), the nomadic leader who conquered a vast territory extending from India to Moscow.

Navoi Theater Square which was built by Korean & Japanese prisons of second world war II.

Tashkent Metro is famous for its stations which are decorated with ceramics, mosaics and glass, is an art for the public service.

Since graduating she has worked for CATS performing a variety of roles, including most recently as a Tourism Manager. Gulya is fluent in Uzbek and Russian and has good English skills.
