Morning: Border Crossing & Scenic Drive to Seven Lakes
Your day begins with an early morning transfer to the Uzbekistan-Tajikistan border at Jartepa (50 km, approximately 1 hour). After completing customs and passport control, you'll cross into Tajikistan and meet your local guide and driver for the day.
Drive towards the breathtaking first lake among the Seven Lakes, nestled west of the Fann Mountains (100 km). Each lake in this serene cluster is a natural wonder, with waters that range from calming turquoise to deep purple, offering a mesmerizing display of color and beauty.
Midday: After soaking in the tranquility of the lakes, we’ll head to the nearby town of Penjikent. Here, you’ll have the chance to explore: The Rudaki Museum, celebrating the life of the Persian poet and his cultural influence. The lively local Bazaar, where you can experience the vibrant atmosphere of traditional markets. The majestic mosque, a true architectural gem. Just a short drive from the modern town, we’ll visit the ruins of ancient Penjikent. This once-thriving Sogdian city, dating back to the 5th century, was destroyed by Arab conquerors in the 8th century. As you walk through its ancient streets, you’ll feel the echoes of history.
Afternoon: Return Journey to Samarkand
In the late afternoon, we’ll retrace our steps back to the Jartepa border for customs and passport control. Once across the border, we’ll continue our journey to Samarkand, where you’ll be transferred to your hotel to relax and reflect on this unforgettable day
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before delving deeper into Samarkand’s heritage. Explore the Ulugbek Observatory, a pinnacle of medieval astronomy, and visit the sacred Hodja Doniyor Mausoleum, echoing centuries of devotion. And witness the ancient art of silk paper at the Koni Ghil Center.

Begin your day in Margilan (15 kms), the famed silk town, and witness the ancient art of Ikat weaving at Yodgorlik Silk Factory. Meet skilled craftsmen and stroll through the vibrant local market. Continue drive to Andijan -the birthplace of the great Mughal emperor Babur. Explore the city's rich history and cultural landmarks, including the Babur Park and Andijan Regional Museum.
Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Andijan to the Dustlik Border, where formalities are smoothly completed before crossing into Kyrgyzstan. Upon arrival, you are warmly welcomed by your local guide and escorted onward to the historic city of Osh, one of Central Asia’s oldest cultural centers.
Discover the spiritual soul of the region with a visit to the UNESCO-listed Suleiman-Too Sacred Mountain, including its fascinating cave museum carved into the rock. Continue to Osh’s Central Square, followed by an immersive walk through the vibrant local bazaar, where centuries-old trading traditions come alive through color, aroma, and craftsmanship.
As evening approaches, you are transferred to the airport for a short domestic flight to Bishkek, offering aerial views of Kyrgyzstan’s dramatic landscapes. Upon arrival in the capital, a private transfer takes you to your hotel for a well-deserved rest.
After breakfast at the hotel, set out to explore Bishkek, a city where Soviet heritage blends seamlessly with Central Asian traditions. After breakfast, depart Bishkek and journey eastward to the breathtaking Chon-Kemin Nature Park, a protected haven of unspoiled landscapes and rich biodiversity. Nestled between the majestic Kungey Ala-Too and Iliysky Ala-Too mountain ranges, the Chon-Kemin River winds gracefully through forested gorges, alpine meadows, and a chain of serene mountain lakes before joining the Chu River.
Established in 1997, the Chon-Kemin State Nature National Park safeguards over 5,000 hectares of pristine wilderness. Continue to Tamga in the afternoon. Check in at a guesthouse or yurt, relax by the lakeshore, and enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in this peaceful lakeside village.
Overnight in yurt
Depart Tamga in the morning and travel along the scenic southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake toward the famous Jety-Oguz Gorge. Explore the striking red rock formations, including the iconic Seven Bulls and Broken Heart, and enjoy a short walk through the lush valley surrounded by pine forests.
Continue to Karakol, arriving in the afternoon. Check in at the hotel and enjoy free time to relax or explore the town. Dinner and overnight in Karakol.
