Beginning in Tashkent, the journey travels to Samarkand before leaving the traditional tourist route for the Nurata Mountains and the village of Sentyab. Continue into the Kyzylkum Desert for an overnight yurt experience and visit Aydarkul Lake before travelling by sleeper train to Karakalpakstan.

In the west, discover the dramatic story of the Aral Sea at Moynaq, visit the renowned Savitsky Museum in Nukus, and explore ancient desert fortresses before reaching Khiva. The journey then follows the historic Silk Road through Bukhara and back to Tashkent, concluding with an excursion into the Chimgan Mountains and a visit to the Soviet-era solar furnace at Parkent.
